Tutor - French - Czech
I'm Zuzana, a tutor of French and Czech for foreigners. I was born and raised in the picturesque town of Šumperk in the Olomouc region and graduated from Master Franco-Tchèque d'Administration Publique (MFTAP) at Masaryk University in Brno. I have since completed several study and work stays in francophone countries, including in Rennes, France and Brussels, Belgium. I’ve obtained the DALF (French Diplôme approfondi de langue française) international certificate at C1 level, as well as the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).
Before tutoring, I worked for more than 10 years in English-speaking environments within multinational companies. For the vast majority of my career, I have worked for the French market. Due to this work experience, I’ve had the opportunity to use French in practice over many years, both in communication with customers in France and with French colleagues.
Since December 2022, I have offered tutoring and conversation lessons in French, and more recently I also began tutoring Czech language for foreigners. As a tutor, I consider the needs and wishes of each individual student, tailoring lessons to their language level and learning goals. For conversation classes, I aim to choose topics that will arouse students' interest and progress their language skills, which has led to regular positive feedback from my students.
In August 2024, I finally decided to turn my passion for foreign languages into my job, and. I look forward to helping other students on their journey towards learning French or Czech.

In autumn 2010, as part of my Franco-Czech study programme on Public Administration, I spent three months living in Rennes, in the French region of Bretagne. As well as studying, I undertook an internship at Maison Internationale de Rennes, where I was chiefly involved in the preparation of Semaine de la Solidarité Internationale (International Solidarity Week). I graduated from university with both a Czech degree and a French master’s in Economics.
After graduation, I prepared intensively to take the internationally valid CAE English exam, which I passed successfully. Thanks to this certificate and the DALF C1 certificate in French, I was able to apply for a traineeship in European Union institutions. I was accepted by the European Economic and Social Committee, where I worked in 2012. Whilst there, I gained further valuable work experience and had the opportunity to use English and French every day. In addition to contributing to the day-to-day activities of the department where I worked, I helped to prepare a conference on youth and employment in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia.
